MITEF Greece Startup Competition 2016

The MIT Enterprise Forum (MITEF) Greece Startup Competition is a technology accelerating competition in which Greek startups compete for prizes. If you have an exciting new product or service, participating in MITEF Greece Startup Competition will give you access to the practical knowledge, mentorship, and resources to take your venture to the next level. Competition winners are the best of the best in Greece, and will receive global recognition through the MIT Enterprise Forum Global, a global network devoted to enabling early-stage entrepreneurs to transform ideas into world-changing companies.

MIT Enterprise Forum Greece is proud to announce the 3 winners of MITEF Greece Startup Competition. The first prize winner is Yodiwo, second prize winner is InSybio Ltd., and third prize winner is Sentio Solutions (Feel). We are all very excited with not just the promise of these exciting new technologies, but also the passion of the Greek entrepreneurs who have participated in our competition. Thank you all, and we are looking forward to next year's competition.

Timeline

Key dates and deadlines for the MIT Enterprise Forum Greece Startup Competition.

  • October 28: Online Applications Open. Online application portal opens at 00:01 a.m. Athens time.
  • December 30, 2015: Applications' Deadline. Online application portal closes at 11:59 p.m. Athens time.
  • January 7 – January 25, 2016: Round 1 Judging. Judges evaluate applications and provide feedback to entrants. Each application receives scoring and feedback from multiple judges.
  • Week of January 25, 2016: Semifinalists Announced. Semifinalists are individually notified and advance to Round 2.
  • February 1 – May 7, 2016: Mentoring and Workshop Program. Semifinalist startups refine all aspects of their venture during this intensive period with access to mentors, training workshops, marketing, media.
  • week May 9 – week May 20, 2016: Round 2 Judging. Semifinalist teams pitch online to judges, highlight progress they've made.
  • Week of May 23, 2016: Finalists Announced. 10 finalist teams are announced and invited to pitch to a high-profile panel of judges.
  • Late June 2016 or early July 2016: Final Judging and Award Ceremony. The top 10 startups pitch to a panel of judges, who pick winners. Winners and participants of the MIT Enterprise Forum Greece Startup Competition are celebrated.
